Can I choose my doctor?
Are there a maximum number of images I can upload?
Teladoc allows up to five images to be stored per visit.
How long will it take for the physician to respond to my visit request?
Physicians have up to two (2) business days to diagnose or ask for more information if needed.
If I am given a prescription as a result of my visit, how will I be notified?
All diagnosis and prescription information will be managed through your Message Center.
Will I be speaking with a licensed dermatology provider?
All Teladoc dermatologists are board-certified.
If my condition requires immediate attention, how will I be notified?
Teladoc will send you information through your Message Center but to ensure patient safety, Teladoc will also have a licensed clinician contact you by phone.
Can I address more than one condition when I request a visit with a dermatologist?
Teladoc does ask that you limit the request for a visit to one medical condition.
Are there dermatology conditions not treated by Teladoc?
The Teladoc dermatologist will determine treatment options based on the visit.
What can be shared with PCPs?
We do not share a member’s medical record unless specifically asked for by the member. Image uploads are not available on the Teladoc portable continuity of care record but are always available in the member’s Teladoc medical health record.
Why do I have to fill out additional intake questions?
In order to make sure our providers have the best information possible to assist members, we do require a short intake with specific questions about their dermatology issue.
Is Dermatology available in all states?
Teladoc offers visits in states where tele-dermatology is allowed and within states where Teladoc provides telemedicine services.
Can a dermatology visit be scheduled for someone under the age of 18?
Dermatology visits are available to all Teladoc members.
If the dermatologist has additional questions, how will I be notified?
The physician will send you a message through your Message Center asking for further clarification. You can choose how you are alerted that a new message is in your Message Center (i.e. text or email).
Do I have to have online access to have a Dermatology visit?
Yes. Because of the nature of the Dermatology visit (required images and additional health information), you must have online access.
How much does it cost?
Do I talk to “real doctors”?
Yes. Teladoc members only talk to actual doctors who are U.S. board-certified internists, state-licensed family practitioners, and pediatricians licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. and living in the U.S. When you request a visit, Teladoc will connect you with a doctor licensed in your state.

Teladoc does not guarantee prescriptions. It is up to the doctor to recommend the best treatment. Teladoc doctors do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic, and/or certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. When should I use Teladoc’s Everyday Care service?

We will ask you to complete a brief medical history prior to requesting your first visit, similar to filling out forms before an in-person doctor visit. You can update your medical history at any time through the Teladoc app.

MENTAL HEALTH
When should I choose mental health services?
How do I schedule a mental health visit?
What should I expect during my visit?
What types of mental health professionals can prescribe medications?
Our psychiatrists can prescribe medications, however they cannot prescribe any controlled substances or medications for the treatment of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. Prescriptions for these drugs require in-person care and ongoing monitoring. You can use our services for therapy or to obtain other medications, but if you are currently taking any of the above drugs, we cannot prescribe refills.

Can I talk to the same therapist/psychiatrist every time?
Yes. You can see the same specialist throughout your treatment.
How do you match me with the right mental health physician?
When you schedule a visit, we will ask you questions about your preferences for your mental health professional as well as questions about what your specific needs are. You will be able to choose from all matching specialist profiles, which will display information including gender, language, and specialties.
Will Teladoc follow up with each visit?
Teladoc providers use the secure member message center after each visit to share a summary of the visit, and if you and your physician decide to schedule another visit, he or she will schedule that through the message center as well. Our licensed nursing staff may also reach out to you directly by phone after your visits to follow up, if needed.

DERMATOLOGY
Which service should I use for skin concerns or conditions?
Our Dermatology service provides care from licensed dermatologists for persistent or serious skin issues like acne, rosacea, psoriasis, moles, or rashes.
What should I expect when requesting a Dermatology consult?
Do I have to upload an image?
Yes. In order for the dermatologist to properly review and diagnose your condition, it is required that a minimum of three images be uploaded prior to scheduling your consult.
How long will it take for the dermatologist to respond to my visit request?
If the dermatologist has additional questions, how will I be notified?
If my condition requires immediate attention, how will I be notified?
How much does a Dermatology consult cost?
• Dermatology - $0 Consult Fee – The member uploads a picture of their skin condition within their HY account to share with a dermatologist - within two business days the member will receive a response from one of our Online US board-certified dermatologist who will provide a diagnosis and treatment plan customized to fit their needs.
PRESCRIPTIONS
Can I get a prescription?
Teladoc does not guarantee prescriptions. It is up to the doctor to recommend the best treatment. Teladoc doctors do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic, and/or certain other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. Also, non-therapeutic drugs such as Viagra and Cialis are not prescribed by Teladoc doctors. View the current list of DEA-controlled substances.
How are prescriptions sent to the pharmacy?
Teladoc does not dispense prescription drugs. If the doctor prescribes medication, it is submitted electronically or by phone to the pharmacy of your choice.
Will I be contacted by Teladoc when my prescription is ready?
Teladoc will automatically notify you through the message center when your prescription is submitted. We suggest contacting your selected pharmacy to confirm when your prescription will be ready.
Can you prescribe antibiotics?
Yes, however, any prescription of antibiotics must be accurate and professional. We understand the negative consequences that may result from over-prescribing, and thus our doctors will only write prescriptions in instances where such medication is absolutely necessary.

How do I set up my account?
To set up your account, Click 'Sign Up for HealthiestYou by Teladoc' and fill out the info. You can also, download the HealthiestYou app on your mobile device.
How do I provide or update my billing information?

How do I complete my medical history?
You will need to complete a brief medical history before requesting your first visit through Teladoc. You will also be asked to update your medical history once a year in order to keep your information current. You can update your medical history whenever you need to on the HealthiestYou mobile app.

To join a video visit, log in to your account on HealthiestYou.com or the HealthiestYou mobile app and click “Join Waiting Room.”

If your computer passes simple tests on video and sound quality, your microphone and camera are working properly and you can proceed with video visits.
Should I keep the HealthiestYou app open on my phone while I wait for the doctor to join my video visit?
How long will it take for the doctor to start my video visit?
What should I do if I need to cancel a scheduled visit?
You can cancel your visit on HealthiestYou.com or the HealthiestYou mobile app. After logging in to your account, navigate to your "Upcoming Visit” details, found on the homepage. There you will see a “Cancel Visit” button, which you can click to cancel your visit. If you have any immediate issues or questions, please call 1-866-703-1259 for assistance.

How does the process work?
How quickly can I get my lab results?
Lab results are finalized and sent to you discreetly in three business days or less. For patients who receive positive STD test results, or whose results require further explanation, a consult may be requested with an STDCheck doctor at a time that is convenient for you. Once you request a consult, a doctor will call you back.
Will my lab results be added to my medical record?
Can my lab results be sent to my main doctor?
How much does it cost?
Pricing for STD individual tests and panels is available on the STDCheck site. STDCheck currently accepts credit cards, prepaid debit cards, cashier's checks, money orders, health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), and PayPal. The member can present their insurance card at the lab and ask the lab to file a claim for reimbursement to the member.

When should I use the Medical Experts service?
How do I request an Expert Medical Opinion?
You can request an Expert Medical Opinion on the HealthiestYou app or website, or call us at 1-866-703-1259. Once a case is opened, a member of our clinical team will call you to better understand your needs, determine what types of records need to be collected, and to answer your questions about the process.
Do I have to travel or collect my own medical records?
No. We will handle everything for you. All your contact with us is over the phone or online. You do not need to travel or contact your doctor(s) to obtain records, images, or other information related to your case.
How much do Teladoc Medical Experts services cost?
The services are at no cost to you or your eligible dependents. Any tests and treatment options recommended by one of our medical specialists are not paid through Teladoc; those payments will depend on the terms of a member’s health insurance coverage. All recommendations from our specialists are completely voluntary.
If I use Medical Experts services, does that mean Teladoc is now my treating physician?
No. Teladoc Medical Experts provides medical information only. These services do not provide medical care, diagnoses, or treatments. You will not be a patient of Teladoc or of any Teladoc Health expert who reviews your case. These services are only for additional medical insight on your condition. No doctor-patient relationship will be created between you and Teladoc or you and a medical expert. Your treating physician is still responsible for your care and all treatment decisions will be made solely between you and your treating physician.

Can my family use my Teladoc account?
Yes, The HealthiestYou Complete Bundle allows you to use the Teladoc service for you, your spouse, and your dependents. Please set up your account online to confirm eligibility or reach out to your benefits manager for more information.How to set up adult dependentsAdult dependents set up their own account by visiting the website and clicking "Set up account." Teladoc visits are currently available in the United States and Canada. For members with access to our Global Care program, visits are available with a U.S.-licensed physician while traveling internationally.
